NSW Labor Environment Action Network

The Labor Environment Action Network (LEAN) is a group of ALP members who are passionate about the protecting and improving the environment. NSW LEAN is focused on drawing attention to environmental concerns both within the Australian Labor party and campaigning and raising awareness in the greater community; through direct ALP forums, community action and Social Media such as this Facebook page which commenced in June 2011.

We monitor environment and climate change articles regularly, Government policy statements, engage with other environmentalists and highlight awareness with parliamentarians. We aim to promote debate on climate action and be active informing and encourage protection of the environment within the entire community.

It is intended that this page is to inform and exchange information specific to the issue of Climate Change, Global Warming and local environment issues.

Any comments made by respondents however "progressive" regarding other unrelated issues that simply "litter" the page will be removed.

Additionally comments that are simply "click bait" will be ignored and also removed

We do encourage positive participation and if you would like to be a representative within your branch of the ALP or Union Organisation you are very welcome.

We are open to non ALP members as we want to embrace a broad church of environmental activists to participate with us as we would like to participate. with them
